About Heather Keaney

Heather Keaney is a registered massage therapist with the college of massage therapists of Ontario. Graduating with honors from Georgian College in Barrie, Heather is happy to bring her unique skill set to the Big Nickle.

With over three years of experience and a full clientele ranging from newborn to late adulthood, Heather is unobtrusive about her abilities to pin-point the culprit of her clients’ acute or chronic pain. Her goal is to improve the quality of life of her clients by addressing musculoskeletal dysfunction whether it be from trauma, occupation, disease, life event, or daily stresses.

To ensure her practice thrives, Heather has taken several additional courses including integrated myofascial release and muscle energy techniques, total body modification, TMJ dysfunction treatment, Thai massage, and matrix repatterning techniques. Basically, these courses ensure the client is experiencing a treatment formulated by evidence-based techniques that address the myofascial system as a whole.

Heather’s approachability and calm demeanour is something venerated in the massage therapy community. Feeling comfortable and empowered is a key component to the massage therapist and client relationship. Her down to earth and non-judgmental attitude gives clients a safe retreat to let the stress of days past dissipate allowing for optimum results as the parasympathetic nervous system triggers a homeostatic response allowing an equilibrium of body and mind.
